NARC aims at implementing tasks and responsibilities that may maintain peace and security based on the duties to be entrusted by the African Union’s Peace and Security Council in the light of its power enshrined in its founding Protocol with regard to the ASF.

North African Regional Capability
North African Regional Capability (NARC) is a regional organization concerned with promoting peace, security and stability in the continent according to the Protocol establishing the African Union’s Peace and Security Council (PSC) and in particular Article 13 related to the African Standby Force.
