Sessions of 14th meeting of NARC member states’ experts continued, today Wednesday, May 3, 2023, for the second day running, in Algeria.
Experts of member states have resumed discussions of their agenda items, by studying and scrutinizing the documents explaining items on their agenda, in order to come up with recommendations that will be submitted to the higher level of NARC’s leadership.
Discussions were characterized by seriousness and keen interest to come up with proposals and recommendations that meet the aspirations of NARC’s higher leadership to drive forward towards full operationalization and readiness of the region’s mechanism (NARC).
The items on the agenda of experts included many important items that would improve work of NARC components and enhance capacities of its standby military, police and civilian components.
Among the documents under review at the meeting were the outputs of the workshops of 2022, draft logistic concept and field training exercise (FTX) that NARC is looking forward to conduct in 2024, besides other important topics.
It is noteworthy that the 14th meeting of experts will resume its work tomorrow, Thursday, which is the closing day of the 14th meeting of experts.
It is to be noted that NARC comprises membership of Algeria, Egypt, Libya and the Sahrawi Republic, and its meetings are held annually at the level of member states experts, the Committee of Chiefs of Staff, then the Council of Ministers of Defense.
