The second regional Training of Trainers (ToT) course commenced on July 22, 2024, at the Cairo International Center for Conflict Resolution, Peacekeeping and Peacebuilding (CCCPA). Organized in collaboration with the African Union (AU) Commission and the United Nations (UN), this course brings together military and police personnel from all NARC member states.
The training program aims to strengthen the capabilities of personnel within the North Africa Regional Capability (NARC) and develop specialized trainers to equip and prepare component members at NARC’s Centers of Excellence.
This initiative is part of the NARC Planning Element’s collaborative efforts with regional and international partners to enhance the proficiency of all three NARC components.
The opening ceremony was attended by the Head of the NARC Planning Element, the Deputy Director of CCCPA, a representative from the AU Commission, and a representative from the UN Office in Cairo.
The ten-day course will cover critical topics related to compliance and accountability in peace support operations, as well as the conduct of mission personnel. These topics are crucial for ensuring successful mission outcomes.
Participants in the course include military and police trainers from NARC member states who are responsible for training at the Centers of Excellence. Participants also include the Brigade Commander, Head of the Administrative Base, Head of Brigade Operations, the Training Officer from the Planning Element, and the legal advisor for the Planning Element.
