In line with the preparations for the forthcoming NARC meetings and consultations between the Executive Secretariat and the host country, the Executive Secretariat discussed with the relevant Algerian authorities, in a virtual meeting on March 1, 2023, all aspects pertaining to the next NARC meetings.
At the outset of the meeting, NARC PLANELM chief praised Algeria for hosting the upcoming NARC meetings and its endeavour to provide all appropriate conditions for their success, praising at the same time efforts of all NARC member states for the success of NARC meetings designed to promote NARC.
The meeting focused on all administrative and logistical arrangements required to hold NARC meetings in Algeria, including the proposed dates for the meetings.
It is to be noted that NARC meetings are held annually at the level of Member States’ experts, then the Committee of Chiefs of Staff (the Committee), and ending up with meeting of the Council of Ministers of Defense or their representatives (the Council), and deal with all fundamental issues facing NARC’s Executive Secretariat and its permanent components including approval of its budgets.
